Sam Hornsby and Mae Yip, the Co-Founders of ERIC Festival share their Startup journey. Some people are naturals, and they don’t even know it. That’s the case for these two. Best friends that took very different paths, but ultimately knew they needed to solve a problem in the world. So they gave up successful careers to go it alone, together. Now they run ERIC, the largest creative careers festival in the UK and are pivoting to create market changing tech. What’s beautiful about Mae and Sam is that without even knowing it, every time they play their hand, they land on best practice. In this episode they share their personal journeys, inspiring advice on how anyone can make it and why your background means nothing, it's about who you are and the difference you can make. These superheroes of entrepreneurship don’t wear MBAs and VC money, they wear capes hewn of humility and passion.
